1975 Volkswagen Dune Buggy

In 1964 a gentleman by the name of Bruce Meyers
designed a fiberglass body kit car using the VW Beetle
chassis known as the Meyers Manx but would be
referred to as the “Dune Buggy”. There would be many
companies that would build their variant of the dune
buggy. The “Dune Buggy” was very popular in the 70's
and 80's as it was fun, affordable and reliable
transportation through many types of terrains; street,
dunes, desert, two track and more. The vehicles even
inspired the hit cartoon series “Speed Buggy”.

Just out of a private collection, the Buggy offered here
remains in its original build configuration and original
paint since it was built by and enthusiast in the early
80's. It is powered by a 1600 dual port engine, 4 speed
manual transmission and rear wheel drive. It features a
rare removable hard top, bucket seats, rear bench seat,
custom dual exhaust, exterior fuel filler, engine cage,
halogen headlights, custom side mirrors, classic Cragar SS
chrome wheels with BF white letter tires in all 4 corners.

The Odometer reads 13315 original miles. The car is a
blast to drive, and turns heads where ever seen. This
Dune Buggy is titled as a 1975 Volkswagen.
