2007 Mercedes-Benz SL 550

The SL or Sport Light has been produced by Mercedes Benz since 1954 and is now in their seventh generation of building the world class iconic Grand Tourer. These cars have always been the definition of class and status. Initially the SL was Mercedes racing car beginning in 1952 and it wasn't until the American importer Max Hoffman suggested a street version for the US. He was also the man behind the Porsche Speedster. He saw that personal luxury and sporting cars was a booming business post- WWII. This particular fifth generation R230 features for at the time was not necessarily new to Mercedes but the SL line was the “Vario Roof” retractable hard-top with the all new smoother body-lines as well as active body control suspension and electo-hydraulic power brakes as well as many other high tech features that Mercedes is known for. This particular car has been a well cared for example, adult owned and maintained. It has had good storage as a clean carfax. I really like these in white over tan. This model starts, runs and goes down the road with comfort and plenty of V8 power. There are no “dummy' lights on the dash, the top operates exactly how it should, the interior is clean with everything including electronics in good working order. These are a lot of car for the money considering the original MSRP was real close to $100k.
