1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup

First off, let me start by saying how incredibly cool this truck is. This is truly a work truck from NM. It was used at a service station in Raton New Mexico owned by Ernest Carlini who was born in 1916 and died in 1999. The truck was used by him and later by a manager of the same location until 1998. The truck at that time was sold and the buyer did the conversion from the original chassis and strait 6-cylinder to a modern crate 350 with automatic transmission and sat it on a modern S-10 truck chassis. This rig has also been given vintage A/C that blows cold, a modern dash and upgraded interior and engine compartment paint. I have personally driven this car down the road at highway speeds and it drives straight, brakes straight, has plenty of power and is quite enjoyable and comfortable to drive. These Advance Design trucks as they were marketed by GM post WWII have such nice design. The patina is not clear coated, there appears to be several coats of paint from the years in the desert, obvious paint fading and some rust in the cab corners, but largely very solid, including pans, fenders and bed. This rig fires up with the twist of the key and idles immediately and commands looks at every intersection.
