The fourth generation Corvette came about at the end of a very rough era for automobiles, However the Corvette seemed to always prevail with forward thinking when it came to styling. Unfortunately the era of oil crisis, computer technology and government regulated safety measures crippled the industry until they could wrap their heads around all this. These C4 Vettes were built from 1984 through 1996 and the emphasis instead of super fast performance would focus on handling and ride comfort. It worked, because numbers were good and as the years went on, they were able to bring the performance back in to the picture and integrate it with the safety, comfort and ride handling features that were void in the previous models of the C3. By 1992, the LT1 has replaced the L98 V8 and traction control would now be a permanent fixture as well as HP ratings hitting the 300 mark again. As stated above, this car does have a slavage title due to a accident that is indicated on the carfax. There are numerous scratches and paint blemishes, however the car starts, runs , idles nicely and goes down the road as it should. The top is in decent shape with some weathering on the seals. The tires and brakes have about 5,000 miles on them and the current owner has driven this car for a few years with no drivability issues at all. The car is dry underneath, does not appear to smoke or leak and is quite a bargain at under $10,000. This Corvette is sold as is, where is and there are no warranties expressed or implied.
