- of 193 Saleen S281 Mustangs made in 1996. Yes, this Saleen is supercharged. This is a very nice example of One of Fords upgraded models by Saleen. Steve Saleen has been in the Mustang modification business since 1984 and then continued its efforts with the SN-95 Mustangs. Although, there were two different variants with S-351 being much more HP, the S281 instantly became Saleen's most popular product ever and earned the highest production figure of any Saleen car. The S281 is a GT plus as I like to call it. It had added Saleen designed front and rear bumpers, a body kit, badging and stripes, new wheel and a upgraded suspension. This car has original paint and interior and shows very nicely. It drives even better with a very nice suspension, short throw shifter and excellent brakes and oh yeah, goes fast too. Everything is in working order including the A/C. This is a very comfortable car to drive as it has no shimmys or shakes or rattles. I personally love these cars and for the money and power its hard to beat.
