GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this second generation, 1968 Dodge Charger for your consideration. It is a beautiful example of a 60's Muscle Car. Finished in "Triple Black" With a deep black paint job, and black vinyl top and black interior this takes right back to the now famous "Bullitt" chase. The car has had a repaint at some point in its life and continues to show well. This is a very solid example, the trunk and floor pans appear to be dry and solid. The car rides on Magnum wheels with BF Goodrich white letter tires. The vinyl top is in great condition. The interior has black vinyl bucket seats and console. Rebuilt factory gauges help monitor the vitals. The heart of this beast is a strong 440 that has all of it's internals reworked. Edelbrock heads, intake and carb sit on top of the healthy short block. All bolted to a TCI Street Fighter transmission to handle the 400 horsepower and 500 feet pounds of torque that this fire breathing monster makes. The suspension has been beefed up as well with Hotchkis sway bars and steering upgrades and Bilstein shocks. MSD ignition components keep it running, a Be Cool radiator Show & Go kit keeps it cool, March Performance pulleys and Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner help tame the beast. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to give us a call with any questions or for more information.

The Charger was redesigned for 1968, and an initial 35,000 units were slated for production. The demand was high and 96,100 Chargers were actually produced. Based on the Chrysler B platform, the model years received various cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior including: an undivided grill, rounded tail lights, and hidden headlights. The powertrains were carried over from 1967, but the 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-6 became available in mid-1968. The Charger was not successful in stock car racing such as NASCAR. A more aerodynamic shape formed the Charger 500 model that became the basis for the 1969 Charger Daytona.

Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing and/or $199 documentation fees.
