The fuel inject 289 V8 was built by CD's engine service and is around 300hp(dyno 248 at the wheels) with long tube headers and Magnaflow dual exhaust, backed with an AOD transmission with 3.83 Auburn locker. The car cruises nicely down the highway with the overdrive transmission. The Mustang is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes – which is huge upgrade from the factory drums. The car has factory power steering.
