1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this one of a kind 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible for your consideration. This ground up build, using a true convertible body from the dry high-desert area of the Pacific Northwest, took several years to complete. It has resulted in a great driving vehicle with tons of eye appeal.

The custom teal, black and purple exterior is offset by Frenched headlamps and tail lamps, a shaved trunk handle, shaved door handles with remote poppers, shaved bumpers, shortened side moldings and molded top and bottom grille bars, and beautiful set of staggered (14” and 15”) American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. The 1941 style top has been chopped approximately 4” and has been covered with a quality Haartz canvas. The hardware for a power top is installed, should the next buyer wish to go that route. The classy windshield is V-butted for style. The interior is equally as pleasing as the exterior, with a power bench seat, power windows, AC, and a complete custom gauge set. Tunes are provided by the AM/FM/Cassette and equalizer that's installed and a power antenna grabs the radio frequencies with ease.

The front suspension uses a GM (Monte Carlo) front clip with 2” dropped spindles, power steering and power front disc brakes. The rear suspension is also a GM 4-link design that is mounted within the original Ford frame, using a 10 bolt rear coil suspension and retains the stock GM geometry. Putting the power to the ground is a great running Chevrolet 327 V8 that's been upgraded with an HEI system, Edelbrock carb, intake and aluminum valve covers, an aluminum oil pan and timing chain cover. The rebuilt TH350 shifts smoothly and the full dual exhaust emits the right sounds that are the finishing touch to this one of a kind ride.
