1983 Buick Riviera

Just in time for summer fun, GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1983 Buick Riviera Convertible for consideration. This was the first convertible GM made since the Eldorado in 1976. All of them were send to American Sun Roof (ASC) in Lansing, Michigan where the top was removed, structure strengthened, and the final assembly of the top mechanism, rear seat, and interior was finished. Only 1,750 convertibles were made in 1983. The low production was due to its price point as it was infringing upon Cadillac territory. 35 years later, these cars remain elegant in presentation and extremely comfortable to drive.

The 1983 offered here is finished in Red Firemist over a burgundy read leather interior. The car is starting to show its age here and there some but is still very presentable. The power top does work, however the latches that hold it down are broken. The car is powered by its 5.0 V8 paired with an automatic transmission. Highlights include tilt wheel, CD player, power windows(passenger side rear does not operate properly), power locks, power seats, power brakes, power steering and air conditioning, white wall tires. This drop top cruiser is itching to get out and tour the countryside!
