1992 Chevrolet Silverado K-1500

Could not help to get a little giddy when this 1992 Chevrolet Silverado showed up to the Gallery. This 1992 Chevrolet Silverado 4X4 Fleetside pickup is a three-owner vehicle that was sold new at Lawson Chevrolet of Jasper, GA. This regular cab, short box truck came delivered in Victory Red over Garnet custom cloth interior. The truck is powered by its optional 5.7 liter V8 engine, 5 speed manual transmission and 4 wheel drive. Factory options included: Silverado trim package, air conditioning, tilt steering, cruise, power windows, power locks, electronically tuned AM / FM stereo with cassette and digital clock, auxiliary lighting, manual transmission bonus package, chromed rear step bumper, aluminm wheels, sliding rear window, tachometer, rear cargo light, 3.43 rear axle, front and rear black bumper guards etc.

With the exception of a few enhancements, most notably a professionally executed 6” suspension lift and set of custom aluminum wheels fitted with newer Yokohama Geolander 35X12.5R15 tires, this Silverado remains highly original featuring a no hit all original body, most if not all of its original factory paint, all original interior, dry frame and underbody, and unrestored engine compartment. Other changes include headers, summit racing air cleaner, performance exhaust, new stereo head unit to include Bluetooth, USB input, hands free, etc.

Now for the good stuff, this '92 Chevy Silverado drives flat out awesome. Since taking delivery at GR Auto Gallery, this truck was used for a daily driver for nearly 2 weeks and close to 800 miles, I could not get over the cool factor and the drivability of a truck with this much of a lift and suspension work. The 5.7 liter V8 remains largley in stock form with stock horse power. The 5 speed transmission shifts flawlessly, I do believe the 3.43 gear ratio remains as the truck has no problem achieving and maintaining highway speeds. The steering and suspension is tight, the exhaust is perfect for this truck.

Documentation includes the original window sticker, original books, original roadside assistance letter and cards, original pre delivery inspection etc. The special interest truck market is red hot, and this is an opportunity to ride high in an American icon. If you are into this, there are no disappointments with this truck. The AC blows cold and it is turn-key and ready for immediate enjoyment.
