1930 Ford Model A Rat Rod

GR Auto Gallery is please to present this well thought
out, all original steel body, 1930 Ford Model A Rat Rod
for consideration. The original, all-Ford-steel body comes
from a preserved example that had been sitting a garage
for 57 years. The example had just 77000 miles on it
when it was found. A 3-inch chop was performed with no
additional body work.

Under the body is a whole different story. A brand-new
Brookville frame was sourced, and powder coated.
Brookville offers some the finest frames and chassis in
the business. The car is powered but a built 350 V8,
automatic transmission and a Ford 9 inch rear end. Other
highlights include front disc brakes, drop spindles,
upgrades suspension, classic steel wheels, wide white
wall tires etc. The interior features front and rear bench
seat and the original wood frame structure of the original
roof. The interior was left sparsely trimmed leaving room
for added creativity if chosen or the presentation works
perfectly the way it is.

Mechanically, the car starts runs and drives out
extremely well. The engine has plenty of punch, the
suspension and steering create a confident ride and the
brakes stop straight. It is enjoyable to drive. All work was
performed by master craftsman and nationally
recognized street rod builder, Butch Payne of Finely
Finished Productions. This 1930 Rat-Rod was assembled
to preserve the integrity of the original car that was used.
