1975 Oldsmobile Cutlass Salon

The history of the automotive industry throughout the 1970's has not always been glorious. Ok, lets me frank, the 1970's was the single largest growing pain for especially American automotive design and performance. With all the government interference on fuel consumption and safety. Not to mention the economy was in the absolute toilet. Even muscle cars were not muscle cars. Take this really nice Cutlass for instance, it has a 455 Cubic Inch V8 that in 1975 puts out a whopping 190HP. The one thing that I take out of it however is that this was the first time you would see muscle car names of the 1960's trying to integrate luxury as well. So, in the 70's you had a little bit of luxury with a sprinkle of Muscle. This particular really nicely preserved survivor driver starts, runs, shifts and goes down the road strait and true with plenty of power. No, really it does and it has a really nice rumble as well. Furthermore there are no shimmys, shakes or funny noises or smells. It does not leak or smoke and really is a joy to drive. These 70's cars have really started to make a mark on collectability as well as increased values. This car has a couple small rust bubbles and some surface rust on the bottom of the doors from rock chips etc. The interior is really nice, the brakes are good and is ready to be enjoyed and cruised. This car would also make someone a really nice entry point in to the collector car hobby. The underside floors and frame are in good shape and solid.
