1953 Chevrolet 3100

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1953 Chevrolet Pickup for your consideration. This wonderful
custom truck is powered by a 355ci V8 motor that routes power to the rear wheels through a 350
automatic transmission and a 3.73 rear end. With a shift kit, B&M shifter, wide rear tires, and plenty of
horsepower, this truck sure knows how to power down the road. Peeking under the hood reveals plenty
of extra goodies to support the motor with highlights including an Edelbrock carburetor, a Champion
radiator, B&M valve covers, and an Edelbrock intake manifold among other parts. With power steering,
power brakes, and disc brakes (front) this example is a wonderful driver. Making this example unique is

the addition of a Chevrolet Nova subframe and rear-end which further contributes to the performance-
oriented nature of the truck.

The exterior is finished in a clean two-tone Black and Orange paint, this classic Chevy Pickup commands
attention. Complementing the exterior paint are black aftermarket wheels in both the front and rear.
Moving to the interior, this example features brown leather-trimmed bucket seats, a GT Grant 3-spoke
steering wheel, a center console-mounted B&M shifter, electric windows, remote door poppers, a
custom gauge cluster, and a plethora of auxiliary gauges. Needless to say, this is a well-put-together truck
that is ready to keep on crusin'!
Post WWII, all Automobile manufacturers were in a little bit of a scramble to come up with the next
“Big” thing as just after the War ended, everyone was just using the same designs before they were
forced to shut down and build military vehicles. So, these designs were over ten years old and people
wanted something new. For GM and trucks that were still deemed commercial and farm-use vehicles, it
was the “Advance-Design which was their light and medium truck series that would be produced from
