The Peoples car from the early 50's to 1979 remained steady, simple and sexy. They were mass produced to provide affordable transportation and be able to easily maneuver the metropolitan areas. Millions of these were manufactured and exported all over the globe.
Pleased to present this tastefully modified and updated 1962 Volkswagen Beetle. The heart of this Beetle is a 1776cc dual carbureted 4cyl with forged CW crank, lightweight flywheel, Engle 110 cam, Sidewinder exhaust, Outlaw 40x35 heads, remote oil cooler with dual relief, some chrome and paint work to be the show piece. This is partnered with a Ranch Pro Street transmission with Freeway Flyer gearing. Inside the carpet, door panels, headliner, wood wheel, seats and dash have all been restored and show very nicely. Sound deadening material was added under the carpet to give you a nicer ride along with Pioneer Stereo, VDO gauges with AutoMeter RPM, oil temp and oil pressure gauges.
Behind the 15in Rader wheels and newer Continental tires is a 2.5in drop spindle and front disc brakes. Then completing the package is the iconic roll back vinyl sunroof and larger chrome bumpers. As we always say, it is much easier and cheaper to buy the project done and ready to enjoy then spend countless hours and twice the price to do it yourself.
