GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this rare 2-owner 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible for consideration. The was Oldsmobile's way of combining the luxury of the Cutlass Supreme with the performance of the 442. Only 793 were ever built making it one of the rarest Oldsmobile muscle cars available.
They came standard with the 442's 455ci V8 rated at 365hp and 500lb.ft. of torque. However, this example currently has a 350ci V8 in it but two 455's are included in the sale. One is the original numbers matching 455 and one is a secondary. With the original engine installed, this will be truly numbers matching across the board as it was delivered new in 1970. The car features a TH400 3-speed automatic with power steering, power brakes with front discs, power top, and heat.
The first ownership history dates from 1970-1995 and the second from 1995-present. The car was restored in its original colors along with a mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust, a new gas tank, new top, and an optima battery. The mileage is believed to be original at just over 86,000 and the sale includes a number of items such as: the original owner's manual, the original broadcast sheet, original sales literature, documentation from the Oldsmobile Historical Society on the package, a product info manual, an Oldsmobile parts manual, reproduction component stickers, and pages of receipts from 1994 to present. This is truly a remarkable car with limited ownership history and retains all of its pertinent documentation.
