1966 Ford GT 40

We pride ourselves on rare vehicles, and here is one of the rarest cars we've had the pleasure of selling. This 1966 Ford GT40 Replica was built by GT Development in Poole, UK. Known as the GTD40 Mark 1, this is an extremely rare vehicle, due to a special agreement between Ford and GTD to produce this car in the UK, low-production numbers, and little historical information available since GTD shut down operation decades ago.

What we do know is that the car was finished in blue with the proper striping. The original owner gave the car the racing number 11. It has racing seats, Grant steering wheel, and a Cobra 302 V8 with a 5-speed Renault gearbox. This has been in storage for the past 20 years, most likely put away right after its inception, which is believed to be in the late 1980's. The 346 miles on the odometer are original and accurate. The research on this peculiar replica is an on-going process, but the rarity and valve remains true.
