After a five-year hiatus, Ford reintroduced the Thunderbird as a throw back or retro model, modeling it after the original two-seat design of the 1950's. This was Ford's eleventh generation of the Thunderbird and it lasted for a three year run until 2005. The powerplant used was Ford's smooth yet powerful 3.9-liter V8 that produced about 250 HP.
