Just acquired out of 40 years of ownership, GR Auto Gallery is excited to bring to market this highly original, meticulously kept, 1983 Jeep CJ7 Renegade. This Jeep remains unrestored and does not need restoring. It was purchased in 1984 by a self proclaimed "OCD Mechanical Engineer" who meticulously cleaned and maintained this Jeep after every outing. It presents as very original including retaining its original Copper Brown Metallic exterior paint, original drivetrain, seats (bottoms have been redone with OEM material), carpet etc. It is powered by its original 258 CID inline 6 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission and Jeeps 4 wheel drive system. Factory options at new include: Renegade package, Nutmeg Denim Bucket seats, power steering, power disc brakes, tilt steering wheel, AM/FM cassette radio, H.D cooling system, H.D. Battery, H.D. Alternator, Hardtop with doors in Nutmeg, Body side step, Floor Carpet, Roll Bar Accessory package etc.

Added features include: ARB air locking differentials, Best Top Soft top with soft doors, sound deadener on firewall and floor, upgraded stereo with speakerbox that is easily removed, CB radio, compressor for locking differentials with added air connect, removable console, accessory toggle switch panel and warning light panel. All of these additions have been researched, mapped and executed to the highest detail.

For the past 40 years, this Jeep was never meant to be a garage queen, it was used with passion for outdoors enjoyment of the Rocky Mountains. Today, this Jeep CJ7 Renegade remains in fabulous condition and is arguably one of the best that has graced the floor at the GR Auto Gallery. The original Copper Brown Metallic paint is excellent although not without some minor chips and love marks, the inteiror is super clean, the engine compartment remains detailed and the underside is excellent in all areas with all wear components serviced and up to date. Mechanically, this CJ7 is amazing. It runs, drives and performs excellently and can be driven downtown or to the most remote places with confidence. The odometer shows 142178 miles. The original owner states that he flat towed the Jeep behind his motorhome approximately 60,000 miles over the past 40 years.

Past work does include: Seat bottoms (OEM Original), Hardtop repaint in the original Nutmeg, OEM graphics, Oil seals: front main, transfer case, pinions, radiator boil and flush, Starter, fuel pump, alternator, power steering pump, u-joints, brakes, shocks, tires and all fluids.
