GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning 1965 Ford Mustang for your consideration. This Mustang is finished in striking Lightning Blue over a clean Black interior and has only 395 miles on its fresh build. Power comes from a 289 cubic inch V8 that has been bored .040 over, paired with a Tremec T5 5-speed manual transmission and a 3.55 geared rear end. The car has undergone a meticulous frame-on restoration beginning in 2019, during which it was stripped down to the shell and rebuilt with all-new sheet metal (excluding the roof, rear wheel wells, and rocker panels). It received new doors, fenders, hood, crown panel, and floorboards, with a fiberglass trunk and new torque boxes. Additional highlights include a full exhaust system, Dakota Digital dash, MGW short throw shifter, McLeod flywheel and racing clutch, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, new 17-inch custom Boyd Coddington wheels, LED headlights, brand new battery, Kicker kick panel speakers, Retro-style aftermarket stereo, and upgraded internals like a new crank, rod bearings, spark plugs, header gasket, timing chain, and harmonic balancer. Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information.
The 1965 Ford Mustang represents one of the most iconic and influential models in American automotive history. As part of the first-generation Mustang lineup, it helped launch the pony car segment with its sporty styling, accessible performance, and wide appeal. Offered in multiple body styles and engine configurations, the 1965 model year introduced key enhancements including disc brakes and updated interior options. The Mustang's long hood and short deck design became an instant classic, with its combination of style and performance winning over enthusiasts across generations. It remains a timeless symbol of 1960s American muscle and innovation.
