The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (SJ) are essentially the same platform with the Grand Wagoneer coming in later with the fancier trim options and the sought after faux woody. These SUV's which were quite arguably the first SUV's were built for nearly 30 years beginning in 1962 with an almost unchanged body design and structure.
