1977 Ford F-150 Custom

The “Dentside Ford” as it was known was the sixth generation of the F-series and would be built from 1972 through 1979. 1977 was also a pretty important year as it would be the year that the F-series would surpass the Chevrolet C/K line to become the best-selling truck in the United States, a position it has held ever since and something Ford prides itself on. During this time, Ford would build ½, ¾ and 1-ton versions in both regular cabs and super cabs. This particular truck is a very nice example with the mileage shown that could be accurate. The truck did have a re-paint at some point due to fading but the truck is extremely clean and solid when it comes to rust. The surface rust underneath is to be expected but no rot or crusties anywhere. The GVWR was 6,000 to 6,500 lbs with the combination of the wheel, spring, axle and brake combination. This wonderful truck has ice cold A/C and all the lights and gauges are in working order. This Ford starts right up, idles nicely, shifts well, has good rubber and goes down the road really nicely.
