1990 Ford Mustang 7UP GT

The third generation of the Mustang was a giant success and continues to have a following and even starting to catch some premiums for really nice examples. The Fox body Mustang was manufactured by Ford from 1979 through 1993 and would be available in in several sub-models, trim levels and drivetrain combinations. There would be several cosmetic changes throughout the years and the biggest mechanical change would be from a carbureted 302 to a fuel injected 302 with HP ratings increasing from 165 to 210. The Fox body also earned a spot amongst several police departments mostly State Police across the US. The 7UP Mustang was built as a sales promotion with the soft drink maker for the 1990 NCAA basketball tournament. Around 4,000 examples were all equipped with the 5.0 Liter and suited in deep Emerald Green paint with white leather and matching white convertible top. This example is a cosmetic restoration away from being something really special. Mechanically this car seems to be quite nice. It starts easily, shifts nicely, has good brakes and goes down the road very well. The power convertible top operates as it should, just needs a good cleaning. The A/C is there but does not blow cold. The rear passenger window is sticky but the rest work well. The interior seats could be restored or replaced. The paint is original and has some swirling, fading and some stone chips but a lot of this might come back with a very good detail and paint correction. This is not a rusty car by any stretch and is probably worthy of some work to bring it back. We welcome any questions and inspections here in our Traverse City location.
