Built from 2002 through 2011 the SL was many years down the line from where they started, but never lost their roots. There were a couple face-lifts along the way and a plethora of engine choices available depending on where you lived in the world, however the AMG package on the big V8 and V12 cars were always the most expensive and sought after.
