1969 AMC Javelin SST

AMC's Pony car, the Javelin was manufactured from 1969-1974 across two generations, 1969-1970 and 1971 through 1974. It was offered up in a range of trim and engine levels, from economy to muscle car status. It was only available in a two-door hardtop base and the premium SST model along with the optional 343 Cubic inch V8 with either a two-barrel or a high compression 4-barrel set up. So, getting to the point, this particular car is all of those…A SST, 343 V8 high compression 4-barrel and a 4-speed manual finished in a stunning Alamosa Aqua. This Javelin has been in the same family since 1971, received a re-paint and interior and engine re-build in 1985 and has traveled nearly 150,000 careful miles since new. This is a numbers matching all original drivetrain, carb, running gears etc…A few parts have been replaced over the years, but the originals have been kept come with the car like the starter, fan, water pump and radio. In addition to these items, this car comes pretty well documented with service records and receipts even from the early days. The paperwork from the restoration is also with the vehicle. The only thing that has been done lately is a fresh carpet kit. Mechanically this car is a stud, it starts, idles, runs, drives and shifts like it should with no funny noises. The paint is old and is showing signs of wear obviously with paint chipping in spots, but is very solid and from 15ft away still holds a nice shine. The underbody looks incredible to me for never being messed with. I have included pictures of some of the paint chips and imperfections and the car is priced accordingly. This is not a rusty car and could be a awesome driver for years with out messing with anything or this would be the car to restore as it is a very nice, well documented and loved car.
