1943 Volkswagen Kubelwagen

This vehicle starts, runs and shifts but is not road worthy as this vehicle was an actual Nazi German military vehicle in WWII as it served in North Africa in Afrika Korps Under Rommel. After the War the vehicle resided in a Military museum in Belgium until it was purchased by a large military museum in Indiana until the collection was auctioned off in 2012 where another military collector purchased the vehicle. So, following WWII the Kubelwagen went to a museum in Belgium, then museum in Indiana and then in to a private collection. This vehicle does come with a clear title. The sand tires are said to be the real sand tires from 1943 and the canvas top is original as well. There are Nazi and German markings including the Africa Korps, 15th Panzer Division and Anti-Tank Company. The original German ignition switch is now just a toggle and push button. There are pictures of this Kubelwagen in Belgium as well as at the Museum in Indiana with it remaining untouched and un-driven all of these years. Just before the vehicle ended up here on consignment the seller did have the engine gone through with new carb and other things to make it start and run. The seat coverings are not original as they would have been canvas so at some point these vinyl seats were added however, the frames and springs are correct. There is a lot to digest when dealing with anything Nazi related, however there is a ton of history and the last two owners were largely US related Military memorabilia. There are very few examples left so If you are a collector this might be right up your alley.
