GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1969 Ford Torino Cobra for your consideration. This Torino comes in a beautiful Green Metallic exterior paint over a clean tan interior. Powering this Ford is a 428 Cobra Jet paired with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission. The condition of the Torino is incredible and it runs as good as it looks. The rebuilt 428 is fresh and tight with 800 miles on it. This beauty has been meticulously restored by the owner that has had it since 1996. This Cobra still retains most of its original parts and was restored with as many FOMOCO parts as possible. There is full documentation of the history and restoration of the car, build sheets, a complete Marti Report, and original warranty paperwork that are included. BUT WAIT... there's more! The 428 in the car is a period correct block but the numbers matching block is included with this 1 of 1 Ford. The original heads, intake, carb, fuel pump, distributor, power steering system, and radiator all are included with the purchase. That's the stunning Torino, a rebuilt 428 that has been upgraded with a roller cam and Blue Thunder valve train along with all the original parts to make this as correct as possible! Drive this one out of our showroom or have us assist with shipping it to you anywhere in the United States! Don't hesitate to give us a call with any questions or for more information.

The Ford Torino is an automobile that was produced by Ford for the North American market between 1968 and 1976. It was a competitor in the intermediate market segment. The car was named after the city of Turin (Torino, in Italian), considered "the Italian Detroit". The Torino was initially an upscale variation of the intermediate-sized Ford Fairlane with a similar approach to the Ford LTD being the upscale version of the Ford Galaxie, which was introduced at the same time. After 1968, the Fairlane name was retained for the base models with lower levels of trim than those models which wore the Torino name. During this time, the Torino was considered a subseries to the Fairlane. By 1970 Torino had become the primary name for Ford's intermediate, and the Fairlane was now a subseries of the Torino. In 1971 the Fairlane name was dropped altogether, and all Ford intermediates were called Torino. This name was one of several originally proposed for the Mustang while in development. The Torino was essentially a twin to the Mercury Montego line.
