This car features the 3LZ trim package that features leather wrapped dash, door panels, and 2 tone seats. The heavily modified Z06 427 engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with oil squirter input shaft. This Z06 feature LG Pro long tube headers with 3" X pipe, Corsa mufflers and ceramic coated exhaust system. Ported and polished throttle body and intake to match, 160 degree thermostat, LS7 blower cam, double extreme valve springs, adjustable roller timing chain set, HD pushrods, ARP crank bolt, IW overdrive 8 rib pulleys, crankshaft has been pinned. 40 amp fan relay kit to increase fan output, The clutch and brake system were flushed with Amsoil 600. All of the upgrade work was performed by Josh Dobson, a well known name in the Vette community. This slick, black Vette has been professionally tuned on a dyno and made 640 horsepower at the crankshaft. This beast was aligned by RAC Performance in Dallas, Texas. RAC is well in the Sports Car community for their work. All the extensive work was performed in preparation for a blower package.

A successor to the ZR-1 made its debut in 2001 as the Z06, giving a nod to the high-performance Z06 version of the C2 Corvette of the 1960s. The Z06 uses a tuned version of the standard LS1 engine (designated the LS6), with a higher power output of 385 hp (390 PS; 287 kW). Although its total output was less than that of the previous late model ZR-1, the Z06 was much lighter and could out-perform the ZR-1 in every category except top speed. It also costs substantially less than the ZR-1.
