1979 Ford F150 Ranger

You do not see this every day. This 1979 Ford F150 Ranger 4X4 Pick Up spent its days on the same ranch in Montana until acquired by a Ford enthusiast in 2020. Exterior condition was found as it is seen today. Since the 2020 aquisition, the truck went through a complete mechanical refurbishment / restoration to include a professionally prepared M-code 351 V8 rebuilt .30 over, fully rebuilt heads with hardened seats, rebuilt front end and brakes, new shocks, new tires, new tail pipe, new seat upholstery, new carpet etc. The exterior paint was left alone by choice to showcase the original integrity of the truck and also, it is just plain cool, anybody can have a shiny truck. The Ranger trim and front and rear bumpers are original to the truck and remain in quite remarkable condition overall. The interior Ranger trim remains original as well and in very good condition. The truck retains its original California Catalytic Converter along with its original emission plastic catch cans mounted to the frame. The body gaps and fit are amazing and both driver and passenger doors shut with one finger. Both fuel tanks are full and toggle over perfectly.

Mechanically, this F150 Ranger 4X4 is one of the best driving trucks of this generation we have had. The motor runs smooth and quiet with its combination original exhaust and stock muffler, the power steering and suspension is tight and the power brakes stop smoothly and straight. No squeaks, no rattles, just a factory ride that can be compared to the way they drove off the lot.

The 1979 Ford F150 4X4's are among the most sought after pickups on the planet and it is not uncommon to see highly restored examples in excess of $60,000.00 dollars. The example here does not get more honest. It can be driven home and used just the way it is, or an easy example to bring to a whole new level.
