1984 Chevrolet El Camino SS

GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this 1984 Chevrolet El Camino SS, finished in sleek black over a red cloth interior. The El Camino has long stood out as one of Chevrolet's most unique creations, combining the styling of a muscle car with the practicality of a pickup bed. This SS edition carries sporty touches with its designer series trim, body-matched black bumpers, and classic 15-inch silver wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle GT+4 tires. The look is unmistakably 1980s Chevrolet, with a stance that bridges both performance and utility.

Powering this El Camino is a 5.0L V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, delivering dependable performance and the unmistakable sound of American muscle. The SS package gave the car a more athletic character, while still retaining the smooth ride and versatility that made the El Camino popular with enthusiasts who wanted one vehicle that could do it all.

Inside, the red cloth cabin adds a bold contrast to the exterior and comes well-equipped with power windows, AM/FM radio, and air conditioning with heat. This example has also been fitted with added Equus gauges for oil pressure, temperature, and battery readings, along with large dash-mounted RPM and speed gauges. Additional dash-mounted fuel, volt, temperature, and oil pressure gauges give the driver complete visibility into the car's performance, enhancing its sporty character.

The fifth-generation El Camino, produced from 1978 to 1987, was the last of its kind and remains highly collectible today, particularly in SS form. This example stands out not only for its well-preserved condition but also for its unique blend of style, practicality, and period-correct upgrades that set it apart from others on the market. Whether enjoyed as a weekend cruiser, a functional classic, or a conversation piece at shows, this El Camino SS is ready to impress.
