When it debuted in the early '60s, it sent shockwaves through the automotive world combining breathtaking design, cutting-edge engineering, and astonishing performance, all wrapped in a package that was far more affordable than its Italian rivals. Designed by aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer and blessed with a long, sculpted hood, covered headlamps, and a low-slung profile, the '63 XKE looked like it was doing 100 mph while standing still.
