Born in the shadow of stricter emissions laws and a changing automotive landscape, the 1972 Camaro Z/28 stood defiant, a muscle car that refused to go quietly into the smog regulated night. It was the last of the high-compression, no-nonsense Camaros before the horsepower wars cooled. And though its numbers were lower than its late '60s predecessors, its soul was every bit as bold.
We are thrilled to bring this 1972 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 to market. Sold new out of Triangle Chevrolet in Raleigh North Carolina. Original build sheet accompanying this car states it as an original Pewter Silver car with vinyl top and black bucket seats. The Z/28 trim was added at some point in its life cycle. Further factory features listed include; 3-point belts, tinted glass, floor mats, roof drip molding, belt reveal molding, door edge guard, tilt wheel, A/C, floor console, 2.73 rear axle, L65 350ci V8, power steering, AM radio, and exterior molding.
This Camaro has some serious looks that will get you plenty of attention wherever you go. The twin stripes down the middle look great along with the color matched 15in wheels and the convenience of power steering and power front disc brakes. Vehicle looks to have very new A/C components and alternator but A/C currently is not working. Hooker Headers were installed which give the dual exhaust a great sound and it is ready for an adventure.
Vehicle is very clean and rarely used by the previous owner. Vehicle comes with some service records, original build sheet, original sales order showing a sold date of Jan 20th 1972, owners manual packet and clean Michigan title.
