1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this highly original unrestored 1950 Plymouth Special DeLuxe Four Door Sedan for your consideration. Under the hood is what is believed to be the original 3.6L Plymouth Straight Six motor that sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual transmission. This is a strong running example that starts up with a few pumps of the gas pedal.

Wearing Plymouth Palm Beige and plenty of brightwork, the exterior of this '50 Plymouth is clearly unrestored but highly original. It features elegant curvy body lines that were the hallmark for cars of the era. Inside the vehicle has also been left in the original configuration and remains in good condition. This example has been kept in storage for the past few years as it was part of a museum collection.

The Plymouth Deluxe is a full-sized automobile which was produced by American manufacturer Plymouth from 1946 to 1950. It was offered in two trim levels, the Deluxe and the top-of-the-line Special Deluxe. As the war in Europe wound down, the U.S. government slowly began allowing the automobile industry to return to the car-making business.
