1974 MG B Roadster

This clean example is powered by its 1798cc inline 4-cylinder motor that is mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The example offered here was optioned with the optional oil cooler from the factory and has recently received a new clutch, new water pump, new tie rod ends, and a fresh coolant flush.

Finished in Damask Red, this 1974 MGB is special as it was the last year MG offered their B Roadster with chrome bumpers before making the switch to rubber bumpers to meet U.S. safety regulation. Providing contrast with the Demask Red exterior is a white pinstripe running the length of the vehicle and a black leather interior that remains in a very clean original condition. It does feature an updated radio with CB capabilities and new insulation and carpeting. This fantastic two-owner example has had a recent brake overhaul with the selling owner noting there is still 80% remaining on the brakes. Additionally, the tires have a tread depth of 10/32”. Accompanying the vehicle are the original manuals, service manual, and service documentation.

Before MG, there was not much of a sports car scene in America. MG changed that when it first introduced the TC to the American market. By the mid 70's, the MGB had earned the SCCA National Champion in E production for the third year in a row. One can see how these cars remain popular in today's culture.
