Powered by a 3.2L flat-6 motor, this example routes 207 horsepower to the rear wheels through 5-speed manual transmission. With 301,004 miles on the odometer, one would expect this example to be in rough shape. Well, that could not be further from the truth. This 911 Targa has been maintained by two mechanics nearly its entire life. Furthermore, this example spent its time cruising the dry and smooth roads of Arizona and Texas before coming to the midwest in 2017. The selling owner notes that they purchased the vehicle from the original owner who was a school teacher who used to drive this 911 on their daily 80 mile commute to downtown Phoenix, AZ.

This all original '85 911 Carrera Targa is still in its original factory color of Iris Blue Metallic which is complemented by the matching blue leather interior. There are some paint chips throughout the exterior, but overall this example presents itself extremely well. Highlights include power windows, limited slip differential, a central locking mechanism, new steering wheel with raised hub, four wheel disc brakes, and a fresh battery. Furthermore, this example has a thick folder documenting the meticulous maintenance this vehicle has received.

As previously mentioned, the 911 offered here has spent 32 of its 37 year life in the rust free state of Arizona. Since it moved to the Midwest, it has only been driven on dry summer days according to the selling owner. In April 2021, service was completed to include, new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, valve adjustment, new oil hose and driver side window switch.
This is a spectacular vehicle that is a testament to the driveability of these fantastic little sports cars.
