1965 Ford Mustang

When Ford introduced the Mustang in 1964, they flipped the entire industry on its ear. The unibody design was much smaller, lighter and more ridged than anything else available. The long hood could accommodate a variety of engine configurations including a high performance V8. Along with the innovative design, the styling of these Mustangs remains timeless, and 50 years later, the most modern Mustangs are strongly influenced by the original ponies.

The car changed hands in 3 times, all residing in Amarillo until the car was acquired by a Michigan collector in 2007 who performed a wonderful, complete restoration to a high standard and strict correctness to the original configuration on a rust free non problematic Texas car.. The car is finished in its original Vintage Burgundy Metallic paint over Palomino Crinkle Vinyl interior. The car features its original sheet metal and original dry underside and floors. Options include: 289 2v V8, automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering, bucket seats, console, rally wheels, and white stripe tires. Other highlights include new correct interior, full spare with coordinating spare tire cover and jack, correctly detailed engine bay right down to the correct Ford washer fluid bag, excellent professionally applied paint, wonderful interior and the underside remains highly original showing off the full integrity of the vehicle. Today, at 89699 documented original miles, the car is in excellent overall condition. Mechanically the car is wonderful and one of the best driving original Mustangs we have had, great acceleration, excellent suspension and steering and good stopping all while enjoying the COLD factory air conditioning.
