1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup

First year for the new body style or second series or stepside series. The New “wrap-around” windshield truck which was an industry first was a huge success and a major innovation in style and design for the time. It is also the first year for a updated electrical from 6V to 12V. Trucks have slowly been creeping in to an exclusive place in automotive collectability. They are starting to be worth the same as their counterparts and people are restoring them to stock or hot rodding them. This particular cool 55 is finished in well, Patina, some of which was done naturally and finished off when the builder of the truck crammed a 650HP 409 V8 in to this beauty and and put it on top of a S-10 frame, coil overs, good brakes etc…It is Posi Traction and said to run 10's. None of this is confirmed by GR Auto Gallery however we have driven this truck and it is wicked. Runs E85, starts perfect, shifts good, brakes strait, and goes down the road remarkably well. All lights work and it even has a heater. The build sheet on this motor makes us think that the asking price is cheaper than what the engine build was. It is said to have about 500 miles total on this fresh 409. It is not pretty but that was the point. This truck has nice tires, good brakes and will turn heads anywhere you go. It can be civilized….to a point as well as rattle the guys windows next to you at a stop light if you want. I can send the engine build specs upon inquiry. You can not come close to building this truck for the asking price.
