The Mercedes Gelandewagen more commonly known as the G-wagon, is one of the most capable sport utility vehicles ever built. Initially conceived as a military vehicle, the G-wagon has been built in several configurations. It was first made available to the public in a civilian version 1979. Designed to be essentially unstoppable, the G-wagon was tested in the toughest terrains all over the world. With a triple locking drivetrain and a body on frame design the G-wagon is absolutely unstoppable. It has retained its original body on frame design. Production numbers have remained relatively low for the luxury ones produced for the public.
