It is no secret that we love original, low mile cars here at the GR Auto Gallery, and this 1976 Mercury Monarch 2 Door Coupe is very exciting as it has only been driven 14397 miles since purchased new May 24, 1976 from Lyons-Ryan Ford of Antioch, IL. The car has had only three owners and remains in outstanding original condition throughout.
The car is powered by its original 302 cubic inch engine, 3 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive. Highlights include Floor shifter, bench seat, “wood” interior trim, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Magnum 500 Wheels, Said to be original Uniroyal Tiger Pay tires with matching full size spare, all factory stamps and markings, original vehicle starting instructions, etc.
The car features what is said to be and we believe it to be, its Factory Dark Red exterior, all original chrome and trim, all original Red interior, all original engine and engine bay area, (with the exception of some serviceable items), and all original underside with the exception of some serviceable items.
Overall the car is outstanding as an original piece, and original cars of all kinds are excellent automotive investments. The car here is very attractive and highly optioned and at this price is a worthy automotive investment. Cars are only original once!
