Jeeps” are an American icon and can trace their history to a call from the military to 135 companies, with WWII impending, to create a 4-wheel drive reconnaissance vehicle. Only two companies responded and a new vehicle segment was born with veterans falling in love with the go anywhere off-roaders. The CJ-7 is the 7th generation of the legendary Jeep produced from 1976-1986. It features a wheelbase 10” longer than the CJ-5 and to help improve handling and stability, the rear section of the chassis was stepped out to allow the road springs and dampers to be mounted closer to the outside of the body.

The 1980 Jeep CJ7 Renegade offered here remains in great shape and is ready for immediate fun. It is powered by the rock solid 258 CID inline 6 cylinder engine, optional 4 speed manual transmission and Jeeps legendary 4 wheel drive system. The Odometer shows 71818 miles and although this Jeep will be sold as mileage exempt, these miles are believed to be original. This Jeep was acquired from the great state of California and has been selectively restored with a repaint, new Renegade decals, and a freshened interior with new, correct seat upholstery and paint. This Jeep also features a new Best top soft top and soft doors, stock wheels, stock ride height, and power steering.
