First introduced in 1950, the Volkswagen T1 was a large, rear engined, rear wheel drive van that was characterized by its split front windshield. Available with a few different engines and always receiving factory updates, the T1 was extremely popular and was even produced in export countries until 1975. Known colloquially as Bus, Transporter, Microbus, Split Screen, Splitie and Samba, the T1 is one of the most well loved Volkswagens of all time.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this unique VW Bus for your consideration. A unique vehicle, this Bus started out as a Brazilian made bus but was fully converted to look and feel like an earlier split window model. Fitted with the usual 1.7L engine that claims to have been rebuilt and is mated to a 4-speed manual, this is a solid running and driving vehicle. IT has and oil cooler and temp sensor to prevent overheating and the engine and brakes have less than 1k miles on them. Commissioned by a local brewery as a promotional vehicle, this Bus was enjoyed for over 4 years. Very nice feature includes a high powered A/C system that keeps the passengers cool during any commute or adventure. The bus has a new black and white paint job that is absolutely stunning and is accented by factory hubcaps with white wall tires, mud flaps, dual roof racks, and an awning. The interior features custom matching black and white vinyl that is professionally done. The seats and doors and roof are all excellent and the custom wood cabinets are well made. There is fold down seating in the rear, as well as a large table, flat screen TV, and custom stereo with subwoofer and surround sound. The windows slide and a large sliding canvas top is a great conversation piece as well. Small details are not overlooked such as the stainless exhaust and window surrounds and custom engraved steering wheel and pedals.
