1968 Oldsmobile 442

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible for purchase. The Oldsmobile 442 became its own model line in 1968 after being an option package for the Cutlass. The 442 etymology comes from 4-barrel carburetor, 400 cubic inch displacement, and dual exhausts. The 442 is a muscle car legend with its GM Cousins of the same platform (Chevelle, GTO, and GS).

This very clean 1968 442 convertible came from Seattle, Washington. The car is powered by its original, rebuilt 400 rocket v8 engine paired to an automatic, column shift transmission. The car has always been taken well care of and has had a lot of maintenance done to it over the years. Along with the sale of the car comes a large file of receipts reflecting the work that was done on the car. In 2003, the owner spent over $7,000 on the car. The front and rear springs were replaced and given new Koni front and rear shocks. At this time the brake calipers were also replaced and given a complete brake job. The ball joints were replaced as well. The engine was also completely rebuilt as well. In 2011 the car received an alignment. Cosmetically the car shows very well and remains in excellent condition. The car comes with a spare tire and jack. The car rides on its factory wheels with correct beauty rings with BFG Radial tires.
