In 1934 Plymouth introduced the PF deluxe model, simply called the “Six”. The Six featured an advanced independent front suspension that used unequal A arms. Power was increased by 10 percent over the prior year and MSRP was $600.00 dollars for the Four Door Sedan. The price point of the Six as quite high for the times forcing Plymouth to build the PG model which was stripped of the new features that the Six offered including the independent front suspension. All in all, 16,789 Six Sedans were built.
The 1934 Plymouth Six Sedan offered here has been in the hands of the third owner since 1959 when it was purchased from his grandfather's estate, and is one of the most well preserved vehicles from that era that we have seen. The car was purchased new from Speet Motor Sales of Freemont , MI on August 30, 1934. Since, it is apparent that this car has been properly kept and had limited use through out its history. The car has been properly stored inside on a wood floor since 1968. With the exception of one repaint in its original, Fisherman Blue, the car remains in remarkable original condition. It features its all of its original sheetmetal, all original Mohair interior, original steel wheels, original chrome and trim, original headlights, original Flat head six cylinder engine, 3 speed manual transmission, original engine bay with original paint on firewall and inner fenders, original welting, all original frame and untouched underside, original paint on inner door jams, original wood trim on the interior, original dash and gauges, and so on. The car features just 42845 miles since new and those miles are said and believed to be original. When it comes to collecting cars, things matter including preservation. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great as it was driven 50 miles to us to be displayed and sold at the GR Auto Gallery. This 1934 Plymouth Six is a remarkable piece and would can be the centerpiece of any collection. A must consider if originality matters to you. Documentation includes: Original Service Policy with 500 mile or 90 Day Coupon, Original Owner Information, Original Instruction Manual and Original Chart and Parts Diagram. Car also comes complete original Jack assembly.
