The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile which was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years. Part of the General Motors (GM) A-Body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. Body styles include coupes, sedans, convertibles and station wagons. Super Sport versions were produced through the 1973 model year and Lagunas from 1973 through 1976. After a three-year absence, the El Camino was reintroduced as part of the new Chevelle lineup. The Chevelle also provided the platform for the Monte Carlo introduced in 1970. The Malibu, the top of the line model through 1972, replaced the Chevelle nameplate for the redesigned, downsized 1978 models. The 1971 Chevelles were treated to new front-end and rear-end styling that included large Power-Beam single-unit headlights, a reworked grille and bumper, and integral park/signal/marker lights. New dual round taillights were integral with the back bumper. Because SS models suffered heavy insurance surcharges, Chevrolet introduced the "Heavy Chevy" at midyear, which was based on the base Chevelle, and was available with any V8 engine except the 454, which was exclusive to SS models.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible for consideration. It features a full restoration that dates back to 2006 and photos throughout the entire process are available. The exterior is finished in a stunning shade of Brown and it shines up very well after receiving a full professional detail. The interior color is mated with a similar shade of Brown that is also in very good condition considering the age of the restoration and vehicle. The dashboard looks to be newer and all of the gauges seem to function as they should. This vehicle brakes well, goes straight down the road and is an all-around great running car. The owner has also provided us with lots of receipts and documents that date all the way back to the 80's. The 307 cubic inch engine starts right up without hesitation and sounds very good through the dual exhaust system. It pulls smooth and strong all the way through, the automatic transmission shifts through all of the gears with no issues. It goes down the road with purpose and power, this Chevelle is a wonderful example of the muscle car hayday. Now is your chance to snatch up one of the top muscle cars, please call or email us today for more information.
