The Pontiac Custom S was a model that was sold for for just a single year, 1969, and was a mid level car that replaced the Tempest Custom. It slotted between the Tempest and LeMans in price and features. Available in a variety of different body styles, the Custom S also had a variety of engines from the 250cid I6 to the top end 350cid V8.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very rare 1969 Custom S 4-door hardtop sedan. Very few were made in this body style with the high level 350cid V8 that produced a 330hp and was mated to a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400. It is estimated that less than 4,000 4-door hardtops were produced. Finished in eye searing orange with twin black stripes, this is a stunning car. The body is excellent shape with great paint and trim. The owner of 12 years says that the bumpers and trim were rechromed and the 14in wheels are an aftermarket design. The interior is also in exceptional shape with with new carpets and seats which sport the original upholstery. There are no rips or stains and it looks very very good for the age.
The car is equipped with power brakes, power steering, and the aforementioned 350cid V8. You will be hardpressed to find another car with the same body style and even harder pressed to find one in this condition with these options. It is a collectable for sure!
