The Splinter Woody reflects the finest of engineering, the ultimate in symmetry and design with the skills and craftsmanship of the finest cabinet makers to provide a long lasting, totally functional fun machine. After months of their studying chassis design and availability, they chose to base the vehicle on the Chevette, a proven Opel design, which is available in either a manual four speed or automatic transmission.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1976 Splinter Woody Pickup for consideration. This rare vehicle is in excellent condition and shows extremely well inside and out. The current owner purchased this vehicle about three years back from a gentleman in Sandford, Michigan. This vehicle has been maintained meticulously by the previous owners and shows only 16,834 original miles on the odometer that are believed to be original. This Spliner has the Chevrolet Chevette drivetrain that was built here in Flint, Michigan. The yellow is fiberglass and is mounted on a tubular frame. The wooden parts are believed to have been built by a ship builder. These vehicles were sold as a kit or assembled from their factory, this one in particular was built at the factory in Indiana. The tires are newer, the vehicle features a newer radio that works like new. According to our test drive, this vehicle drives very straight, the engine is good running, the 4-speed transmission is strong in every gear and the vehicle handles very well.
