1964 Chevrolet Corvette

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette for purchase. In 1963, the Corvette launched its 2nd generation with the birth of the Stingray with a complete redesign barely resembling its predecessors. The Stingray was lighter, had independent suspension, and was aerodynamically tested. The only American cars that could produce similar speed were large, heavy Super Stock optioned Mopars and Super Duty Pontiacs. For the first time, the United States had mass produced a true all-around sports car.
This '64 Corvette roadster is offered for sale for the first time since 1990 out of a private collection. It was repainted in 2015 in Tuxedo Black . The paint and chrome show well. The soft top has a few small tears in it but over all shows well. It's powered by a correct, but NOT numbers matching, 327ci 300hp V8 engine paired with the 4-speed Hurst manual transmission. It also features Dayton wire wheels with knock-off spinners, dual exhaust, pop-up headlights, high-performance intake, new ring & pinion gears, and more! The frame and “bird cage” both appear to be in solid condition. Although the odometer says 222 miles, it is hard to say how many actual miles are on the car; these miles are not believed to be original. The interior is a little worn and faded, but for its age it is in good condition. This is a great car for the money – enjoy it the way it is or put some money into it and have yourself a nice show car. Cruising doesn't get much better than a C2 roadster on a beautiful day!
