Automobiles Ettore Bugatti was a French car manufacturer of high-performance automobiles, founded in 1909 in the then German city of Molsheim, Alsace by Italian-born Ettore Bugatti. Bugatti cars were known for their design beauty (Ettore Bugatti was from a family of artists and considered himself to be both an artist and constructor) and for their many race victories. Famous Bugattis include the Type 35 Grand Prix cars, the Type 41 "Royale", the Type 57 "Atlantic" and the Type 55 sports car. The final Bugatti race car of the 1930s was the Type 59 of 1934. It used an enlarged 3.3 L (3257 cc/198 in³) version of the straight-eight Type 57's engine sitting in a modified Type 54 chassis. The engine was lowered for a better center of gravity, and the frame was lightened with a number of holes drilled in the chassis. The signature piano wire wheels used splines between the brake drum and rim, and relied on the radial spokes to handle cornering loads. 250 hp (186 kW) was on tap, and eight total were made.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful one of two Bugatti Type 59 recreations. This recreation sports a handmade tubular frame and a hand laid fiberglass body designed and built to 100% full scale replicating the original 1934 Bugatti Type 59. According to the owner, full mechanical and physical restoration was just complete and says every part has been replaced, reconditioned or restored (Engine, transmission, rear end, brakes, exhaust, suspension, seals, etc.). This beautiful recreation features a ford drive train for reliability and drivability (Ford 2.3 liter 4 cylinder overhead cam engine, Ford C4 three speed automatic transmission, Ford rear axle). The exterior white paint is in wonderful condition and the beautiful custom burgundy interior is also in great condition showing very little wear and tear. A custom made waterproof cockpit cover is also included; it features a middle zipper to allow for passenger side to be sealed off while driver side remains open for driving. Period correct firestone wide whitewall tires, including spare mounted on chrome true-spoke 5 lug wheels with spinners.
