1989 Chevrolet Corvette

The Corvette Challenge race series existed for two years, started by John Power after the Corvette was banned by the SCCA showroom stock series because it won every race over a four year period. The Corvette Challenge Series offered an unheard of purse of one million dollars and that was what attracted many large name drivers and many new talents that went on to become highly successful. Because of the huge success and fans, ESPN broadcasted all 1989 races. Boris Said was the driver of car number 10, which helped him to become very successful at road racing, winning: multiple Trans-Am championships, raced at Lemans and also many times at Daytona, he is the only American to win the 24 hour at Nurburgring and also known as a Nascar ringer and Nascars favorite coach.
