Months would go by before the USA was able to counter them with the agile and aggressive plane called the P51 Mustang. This plane helped turn the war in favor of the Allies and played a huge role in the campaign to rid the European countries of the Axis of Evil. How befitting it was that the iconic Ford Mustang when first released was named after this incredible war machine. Many believed it was after the wild Mustang horse of the west, but that was only embraced after the war ended.

The P51 plane carried many changes throughout its life cycle and fits so well with the vast amounts of variations of the Ford Mustang that have existed over the years. ROUSH took a standard Mustang V8 and started almost from scratch when producing this special edition P51A car. Once delivered to the ROUSH factory in Livonia MI the car was stripped of all its trim, paint, and decals. Then the interior is taken apart to customize the interior and add many extras. From there the car was fitted with new custom two-tone leather/suede interior with P51 logos stiched into the seats and extra badging on the dash. Custom carbon fiber trim was added to the inside that compliments the exterior and interior color scheme. Further interior enhancements include; ROUSH short throw shifter with Retro shift lever with black shifter ball, ROUSH four piece performance pedal kit, white faced electro luminescent gauge cluster, P51 embroidered floormats and ROUSH door sill plates. Once you step outside you see a stunning car painted in Vapor with a custom single body stripe that is painted in a dark army green. Further body enhancements include; ROUSH aero body kit which gives you a front chin spoiler, hood scoop, rear quarter window louvers, rear deck spoiler/wing, black high flow front grille and lower valance fog lamps. Then you will notice the customary ROUSH decal lettering that is on the top section of the windshield, blacked out rear taillights, tinted glass, 18in forged chrome wheels with ultra-high performance tires, P51 graphics and badging on fender, rear decklid and ROUSH custom serialized engine bay build plate and badge noting that this is #2 of 151 built! Now we go into the engine, this is no standard 4.6L V8 with a few tweaks…we are talking 510HP that could easily be modified to handle much more. To give you the ride of your lifetime the suspension was mounted with stage 3 suspension from ROUSH giving you front struts, rear shocks, pinion snubbers, front and rear springs, front and rear sway bars and ROUSH wheel hop reduction kit.
