As almost all domestic manufacturers did, 1955 brought about major redesigns almost completely across the board. The Fairlane replaced the Crestline as Ford's premier full-size offering. Many trim levels were offered with the Crown Victoria as the top of the line. The Crown Victoria came with lots of stainless steel trim and a sleek roofline. In 1956, the Thunderbird 292ci V8 became an offering boosting horsepower. Many enthusiasts think of these mid-1950's models as the best body styles ever produced in American automotive history. This '56 Fairlane Crown Victoria is a very unique find. It's a solid survivor maintained to stock specs with the original color and drivetrain options preserved.
